Plunge into a day where thrill meets indulgence. Begin with the splash of nerf rafting through winding waters, then savor the elegance of a curated wine tasting led by seasoned sommeliers. Cap it all off with a feast of fire-grilled meats—bold flavors to match the bold adventure.

The Tanagro River is located in southern Italy, primarily within the Campania region, specifically in the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park. Famous for key indigenous foods include Pertosa white artichokes, Casalbuono beans, and Vatolla onions, the area also produces Cilento Cacioricotta cheese and Diano Valley soppressata, sausage, and lamb, and unique truffle-based dishes. And this is where the attention focuses: Cilento’s unique wines paird with local game and meat.    Its wines are a hidden gem from southern Campania, Italy, where ancient winemaking traditions meet a stunning coastal landscape. The region, stands out for its varietals like Aglianico, Aglianicone, Sangiovese, and Barbera

Thanks to its Mediterranean climate and mineral-rich soils—shaped by the sea and the mountains—Cilento wines are known for their elegant structure, vibrant acidity, and expressive character. Whether it’s a bold red or an aromatic white, each bottle reflects the soul of a land steeped in history and natural beauty.

PROGRAM

After reaching the rafting departure point by private 80min transfer in Cilento from Naples, you will be debriefed and supplied with equipment and gear. Whether you’re a first-time paddler or a seasoned explorer, you will be guided through thrilling river routes with expert instructors, top-tier equipment, a strong focus on safety, wild beauty and unforgettable moments.

The wine-tasting lunch will follow soon after the rafting, at a local restaurant at only twominute walk from the rafting centre.  The meat-feast will be led by a dedicated sommelier who will start the experience with an anthropological introduction to the history of wine in the world, Italy, Campania, and Cilento  with the support of a PowerPoint presentation of 20 minutes approx.  The experience will continue with an introduction to the indigenous wines, seasonally and carefully chosen to pair with the dishes proposed for the event.  The sommelier will tune in on the guest’s level, and teach basic wine inspection techniques, and food-wine pairing strategies, and where requested and needed, further examine in depth any topic demanded.

Also, as of November 2024, all tastings will be supported by the Exclusive Master Wine Aroma Kit Experience, enabling guests to experience white and red wine aromas and wine faults, hence completing a world-unique exclusive.
