PROGRAM

After reaching the chateau at approximately 70min drive from Naples, a member of the family  of the wine producer will welcome you with a glass of their premium sparkling wine. Soon after the “warm up”, the truffle expert will lecture you on truffle hunting techniques and tell you about strategies and stories relating truffle hunting world. Soon after that, the hunt will start in the acres belonging to the chateau with their precious truffle hunting dogs.  After finding the truffles, we will explore the vineyards and the winery while being guided  by the dedicated sommelier from NWT until lunch time.

The wine-tasting lunch, which will be served using the truffles found during the hunt,  will be led by a dedicated sommelier who will start the experience with an anthropological introduction to the history of truffle hunting & wine in the world, Italy, Campania, and around the chateau with the support of a PowerPoint presentation of 20 minutes approx.  The experience will continue with an introduction to the indigenous wines, seasonally and carefully chosen to pair with the truffle-based dishes proposed for the event.  The sommelier will tune in on the guest’s level, and teach basic wine inspection techniques, and food-wine pairing strategies, and where requested and needed, further examine in depth any topic demanded
